Shredded Pork with Bean Curd
Ingredients:
- 8 oz five spice pressed tofu (wu xiang dou fu gan), thinly sliced
- 8 oz pork shoulder
- 1/2 green bell pepper
- 4 cloves of garlic - minced
- 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
- 2 tablespoon dark soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon spicy chili bean sauce (la dou ban jiang)
- white pepper
Cut the pork into thin strips and mix it with light soy sauce, sesame oil, white pepper, marinate for 15 minutes.
In a saucepan, add some oil on medium heat. Stir fry the pork for about 7 minutes. Transfer pork to a plate.
Add more oil to the same pan, stir fry the garlic for a minute. Add tofu and bell pepper, stir fry for 3 minutes.
Add pork back to the pan, add dark soy sauce, sugar, spicy chili bean sauce and stir fry for about 5 minutes.
Serve with steamed rice.
